How you Get Windows 8 for Free

How You Can Get Your Hands on Windows 8 for Free

Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 8 operating system is being highly anticipated, as it will be different from what we have previously seen from the Windows operating systems that have come before it. Windows 8 has been getting a lot of buzz, and many rumors have been swirling around this new OS.
Sleek preview presentations and unauthorized leaks have helped to hype this operating system so much that many, including several non-technophiles, are enthusiastic to get their hands on this new operating system. You may be one of the people that really want your own copy of Windows 8, but did you know that this OS isn’t even for sale yet?
Don’t worry. There is a way that you can tryout and use Windows 8 today for free.

Where to get it:

Microsoft will actually let you try out Windows 8 right now for free. The developer copy has been released from Microsoft’s official site; you can actually grab your copy now in the download center. There are a couple of different versions, including one with developer tools; that is the one you want if you are tech savvy and want to build apps (but if you fit into that category, you probably knew that already).

How to get it:

It’s simple. You just have to download the version that is right for your needs and for the equipment you are downloading it to. You will have to download the file and then run it on the appropriate machine.

The catch:

The developer preview is not a finished product. It is created to give those folks who make software and other components a chance to have plenty of Windows 8 compatible products on the market before the operating system is fully released. This means that the OS you download could possibly end up not working at all or could be otherwise unstable or vulnerable.
Also, if you download the Windows 8 developer’s build to your primary machine, it will replace your old operating system. When it is time to go back to your old OS, you will have to reinstall it. You also need to know that version of Windows 8 can’t be uninstalled; unless you do a full wipe of your system, it will be taking up memory forever.
You may need a clean build to install this operating system, meaning that you could have to wipe everything from your system before you start anyway. Even if that isn’t necessary for the type you download, you may be left missing some things you enjoyed from your previous OS.
On top of all of that, the Windows 8 developer preview will expire after a certain amount of time. That means that if you want to continue to use your system properly, you will most likely need to buy a new operating system. You could, of course, try to snag the beta copy of Windows 8, but that too expires and could lead to further complications.

What is blogging and How does blogging work

What is blogging?

The word “blog” is a contraction of the words “web” and “log.” According to the WordPress Codex, blog is a “term used to describe web sites that maintain an ongoing chronicle of information.” In other words, blogs are updated regularly with current material, relevant to the site’s main topic. Blogs started gaining popularity in the 1990s, but became widespread throughout the web around 2003. Most blogs are produced using an online interface, enabling the blogger to access and update his or her blog from any device with Internet connectivity. The most popular blogging platforms are Blogger and WordPress.

How does blogging work?

Blogging platforms use a combination of coding languages, such as PHP, HTML, and CSS, to display templates or themes. Most blog themes include a header, a footer, a navigation system, sidebars, and an area to display the blog entries.
Depending upon the theme, posts can be displayed in a variety of ways, but the most common is to list posts on the blog’s home page, with the most recent entry shown first.
A typical blog entry, called a “post,” consists of a title, the post body, post date, tags, and comments. Effective blog posts include a catchy title, a compelling lead, a relevant image, the post body, and a call to action. Posts are categorized into subtopics and “tagged” with keywords to help readers readily find the information they are looking for.The comments are added by readers who visit the blog site.
In addition to posts, blogs include various pages. Unlike the dynamic or constantly changing content of the blog posts, blog pages are typically static. Pages are used to display “evergreen” information, which doesn’t require frequent updates.
Each page fills a specific purpose, such as providing the blogger’s contact information, more details about the blogger and the site, and whatever else the blogger wishes to include.
Many popular bloggers create opinionated and controversial content. Some blogs are used as a tool to make money for the blogger. Methods of blog monetization include selling advertising, promoting affiliate products, or providing premium content through a members-only area.

Advantages of blogs

Blogs offer a means of developing relationships with the blogger’s audience, often referred to as the blog’s “readership,” “community” or “tribe.” Bloggers interact with their communities through post comments and can even add a community forum to their blog, if desired.
Many small business owners and corporation staff members have begun using blogs to maintain good customer relationships by providing answers to frequently asked questions and addressing issues as they arise.
Another advantage of blogs is their innate ability to be noticed by search engine “spiders” that crawl the web, seeking out new content. Since blogs are typically updated regularly, the frequently indexed content gives blogs a boost in the search engine rankings. Most blogs rank better than static websites which aren’t updated often.
The ability to access one’s blog from any Internet connection is another advantage of blogging. Most static website files are stored on a computer hard drive, which means the site manager may only access and update the site from that particular computer.
Most blogging platforms are open source, meaning there is no cost to use them. Bloggers often purchase their own domain names and/or premium themes, but if desired, a new blogger can set up a blog for free.

How to Create a Blog in 10 Easy Steps

Step 1: Choose Your Passion
What does passion have to do with it? I just want to make money!
Well making money might be a good reason for starting a blog and money CAN be made, but in the end creating and maintaining a blog that is going to last is more about your passion or your driving force. Ask yourself this question:
“What would I do everyday, for the rest of my life, without ever being paid to do it?”
Whatever answer you come up with is your passion. That is what your blog should be about; YOUR PASSION. That is what you should be blogging about. Write for yourself before you right for someone else. Money and fame are just icing on the cake.
